Is this video background remover really free?
Yes. Clips up to 10 seconds are free, up to 3 clips per day, with no signup and no watermark. Paid processing for longer clips (up to 2 minutes for $4.99, no subscription) is coming soon.
Do I need a green screen?
No. The AI separates the person from an ordinary background such as a room, street or office.
What file do I get?
A WebM video (VP9 codec) with an alpha channel, at the same resolution and frame rate as your upload.
Will there be a watermark?
No. Free and paid results have no watermark.
How long are my files kept?
Uploads and results are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload. You can delete them immediately with the “Delete now” button.
Why does the preview look black in Safari?
Safari does not display transparency in VP9 WebM. The downloaded file still contains the alpha channel; open it in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or OBS.
Does it work for objects or pets?
The current model is tuned for people. Objects and animals may work but are not what we tested.
